Ishenim is the first post-Soviet credit bureau in the CIS to issue credit reports. The bureau opened in March 2003 with financial support from EuropAid. In February of the following year, the first report was issued, containing only negative information. In order to introduce a scoring system, Ishenim began collecting positive information in November 2004. The first "bell" - Dynamic Risk Assessment Reports™ automatically alerted members on August 16, 2005.
The result of foreign technical assistance during November 2004 to September 2005 was a new name for the bureau - Credit Information Bureau "Ishenyom"™ (from the Kyrgyz word for "trust") and the adoption of business and marketing plans according to Western standards.
"Ishenyom" plans to continue to develop in accordance with the needs of its members and to maintain economic stability and creditworthiness through improved risk management in the lending sector of Kyrgyzstan.
