Today, the exchange offices of the capital buy the US currency at 69.2 soms, sell — 69.8 soms. At the same time the nominal exchange rate set by the National Bank for the weekend is at around 69 soms (an increase of 0.2 percent).
Recall, the dollar in the Kyrgyz Republic rose in price steadily for almost a month. As a result, it reached 72.5 soms, which forced the National Bank to enter the currency market with the intervention of $18.2 million. After it the rate fell by almost 3 soms. However, at the end of this week, the US currency again began rise in price.
